StringForge is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- No account required: you don't need to create an account or provide any personal information to use StringForge.
- No analytics tracking: we do not use any third-party analytics services.
- No data transmission: your settings and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
Data stored on your device
StringForge stores only the following data locally on your device:
- Your selected instrument and tuning
- App preferences and settings
This data is stored using iOS's standard data storage mechanisms and is not accessible to us or any third parties.
Microphone access
StringForge requests microphone access to hear your instrument so it can detect pitch for tuning and intonation analysis. Audio is processed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Third-party services
StringForge does not integrate with any third-party services that would collect your data. We do not use:
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media integrations
- Cloud storage services
Children's privacy
StringForge does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
