Information we collect
VocalForge is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- No account required: you don't need to create an account or provide any personal information to use VocalForge.
- No analytics tracking: we do not use any third-party analytics services.
- No data transmission: your practice sessions, vocal range, and settings are stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, synced privately through your own iCloud account — never sent to our servers.
Data stored on your device
VocalForge stores the following data locally on your device:
- Your practice history and session statistics
- Your measured vocal range and voice type
- App preferences and settings
This data is stored using iOS's standard data storage mechanisms and is not accessible to us or any third parties.
Microphone access
VocalForge requests microphone access to hear you sing so it can detect your pitch in real time. Audio is processed on your device as you sing and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Syncing across your devices (iCloud)
If you’re signed into iCloud, your progress syncs through your own private iCloud account so it’s available on your other devices — switch phones or pick up your iPad and your history is there. This data lives in your personal iCloud, encrypted by Apple; we never see it, receive it, or store it on our servers, and no account or sign-in is required.
Third-party services
VocalForge does not integrate with any third-party services that would collect your data. We do not use:
- Analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- Advertising networks
- Social media integrations
In-app purchases
VocalForge offers a Pro subscription through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Children's privacy
VocalForge does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
